Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Defense Minister meets US Secretary of State

Saudi Arabia’s Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Saudi Deputy Minister of Defense, met at the US State Department in Washington today with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

Upon his arrival at the US State Department headquarters, Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz wrote down a statement in the visit book.

Afterwards during the meeting, they reviewed the historical relations between the two friendly countries, aspects of bilateral cooperation in various fields, and discussed developments and events in the region, in addition to stressing the two countries’ standing side by side in confronting Iranian hostile activities and in combating extremism and terrorism, and the importance of protecting freedom of navigation in international waters and the role of the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen to restore security and stability to it.

The meeting was attended by Princess Rima Bint Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the Saudi Ambassador to the United States, and a number of US officials.
