Saudi Arabia’s government sees ‘Education is a human right and a basis for other rights’

Saudi Arabia have showed their great interest in promoting educational development prospects, including distance education since taking over the presidency of the G20.

The kingdom’s interest in promoting educational development prospects, including distance education had a strong presence in the G20 Education Ministers’ meeting as the final statement contained gratitude to the Kingdom’s leadership for its tireless efforts to mitigate the uncommon impacts and challenges of the new Coronavirus pandemic on education.

The ministers of education in the G20 countries emphasized that education is a human right and a basis for other rights and forms the personal and skill development basis to face social, cultural and economic challenges, which requires international cooperation and the sharing of best practices to upgrade education systems around the world.
