The number of winners in the competitions of the 2nd KingAbdulaziz Falconry Festival reached 617 in 92 heats for the 400-meter Al-Da`wa(Al-Mallawah) and the beauty competitions, in Malham, north of Riyadh.
In a statement issued today, the Saudi Falcons Clubannounced that the festival set a new record to enter the Guinness Book ofRecords once again, after the number of falcons registered in its competitionsreached 2350 falcons for this edition, breaking the previous record of thefestival that it achieved last year, with 1723 falcons
During 17-day event, the festival witnessed a participationof 1106 falconers from 5 countries, including 58 falconers at a category of theSaudi professionals, 918 Saudi owners, 107 international owners, and 23international professionals.
The prizes of the King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival exceededmore than SR21 million.
