Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Health Issues 5 Health Guidelines for Protection from Coronavirus

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has intensified its health awareness efforts meant to address coronavirus. In line with its efforts, the ministry has explained, in an infographic recently posted on its Twitter account, how to protect oneself from the coronavirus by following five main guidelines.

Theguidelines include avoiding contact with the people suffering respiratorysymptoms, maintaining personal hygiene, following coughing and sneezingetiquette, avoiding unsecured contact with animals in addition to urging peopleto cook animal products very well.

MOHhas also provided an overview of symptoms associated with the virus, includingfever, cough and shortness of breath. In some cases, it might develop intopneumonia. The virus may also develop serious complications for those sufferingimmunodeficiency or chronic diseases.

MOHcalled on anyone who experiences respiratory symptoms to stay at home, avoidcontact with others, and refrain from traveling as long as the symptoms remain,as well as covering the mouth and nose with napkins when coughing or sneezing.The ministry also recommended washing the hands with water and soap for atleast 20 seconds, or with alcohol disinfectants.
