Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health reports 17 new cases of Coronavirus

MOH: Four Cases Infected with Novel Coronavirus (COVID 19)

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health on Friday reported 17 new cases of the Novel Coronavirus (Covid 19).

The ministry explained that the first case of a citizen who was in contact with a previously reported case of infection. He is quarantined in a health facility in Riyadh. The second case of an expatriate coming from Portugal via Turkey. He is quarantined in a health facility in Riyadh.

The Ministry of Health said that the third case of a citizen coming from Iran via the Sultanate of Oman, and she is currently quarantined in a health facility in Al-Ahsa. The fourth case of a citizen coming from Turkey via Lebanon, where she spent 5 days in Lebanon, and had symptoms from the night she arrived in Lebanon, after spending 6 days before her in Turkey, and she is quarantined in a health facility in the city of Jeddah.

The Ministry indicated that the fifth and sixth cases are two Saudi women coming from Iraq, who are quarantined in the Qatif governorate, and are without symptoms.

The ministry added that there are 11 new cases of Egyptian nationality, they are in quarantine in Makkah, and they have no symptoms, and they are from the same group, in contact with the Egyptian visitor, which was announced during the past days. It stated that with the addition of the 17 new cases of infection, the total number of registered cases of the Novel Coronavirus in the Kingdom is 62 cases.
