Saudi Arabia has received Healthy Cities Accreditation Certificates from the World Health Organization (WHO) for the cities of Onaiza and Riyadh AlKhubara.

The Kingdom has currently five healthy accredited cities including AlDiriyah, Jalajel, Onaiza, Riyad AlKhubara and AlJumum.

The two certificates were received in Geneva on Wednesday by Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Public Health, Dr. Hani Jokhadar who expressed his thanks to the Minister of Health for his continued interest in the healthy cities program.

The concept of healthy cities stems from the level of a city or village environment that serves and enhances health.
