Saudi Arabia’s presidency of G20 Summit comes from its economic and political weight

President of the Royal Commission for Riyadh City and Chair of the Urban20 (U20) Fahd bin Abdulmohsen Al-Rasheed said that Saudi Arabia's presidency of the G20 this year stems from its global economic and political weight and its role as a vital member of the group.

Al-Rasheed indicated in a statement that this presidency reflects the impact of the tremendous economic, development and social leaps the Kingdom is going through under the leadership of HRH Crown Prince, despite unprecedented challenges that the Covid-19 pandemic has placed on countries around the world.

"The summit would help accelerate the Sustainable Development Goals' achievement, shed light on pressing global issues, and highlight the Kingdom's role in consolidating the values of tolerance and coexistence," he adedd.
