Saudi Arabia’s Presidency of G20 Summit Will Attract Attention to Middle East

Calls for G20 Leaders Meeting amid virus-triggered Global Markets Panic

Minister of Economy and Planning Mohammed Mazyad Al-Tuwaijri expressed pride over Saudi Arabia’s presidency of the G20 Summit.

This came during his participation at a session of the World Economic Forum titled Saudi G20 Priorities.

Al-Tuwaijri said that we are the first country in the Middle East to take the presidency of the Group of Twenty, and I think this will attract attention to the Middle East as an emerging market, pointing out that 2020 will be full of challenges.

Regarding the sustainable development goals, the Minister said that the topics of the G20 summit are linked in one way or another to the sustainable development.
