Saudi Arabia's Shura Council hold Virtual Meeting With Saudi Post Corporation's president

The Transport, Communications and Information Technology Committee of the Shura Council held a virtual meeting, chaired by the Chairman of the Committee, Major General Eng. Nasser bin Ghazi Alotaibi, with the participation of Saudi Post Corporation President Eng. Anef Abanmy and a number of the corporation's officials.

The meeting discussed contents of Saudi Post Corporation annual report for the fiscal year 2019, achievements, plans and the achieved developments in the postal sector.

The Committee reviewed Saudi Post's work during the COVID-19 pandemic to meet increasing demands on electronic shopping, requiring the post to be in line with this increase.

Saudi Post officials stated that the corporation has increased the percentage of employees in the distribution sector to reach 90% of the total number of employees, stressing that the corporation seeks to raise its share of e-commerce. They added that the corporation was keen to amend its policy regarding compensation of the customers for lost and damaged items, in order to reach the highest levels of customers satisfaction.
