Saudi Commission for Health Specialties Accredits 886 Training Centers, 1,832 Training Programs in 2020

Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) has announced that the number of training centers that were institutionally accredited in 2020 totaled some 103 training centers that included 783 training headquarters, while the number of accredited training programs reached 1,832.

The Executive Administration of Accreditation at the Commission said that the number of accredited training seats in Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Bahrain in 2020 exceeded 20,000, where the administration's efforts resulted in accrediting 20,081 training seats in Saudi Arabia, 202 training seats in the UAE and 392 in the Kingdom of Bahrain, with a growth rate of 7 percent.

The administration, in its achievement report, pointed out that the total days spent in visits for institutional and program accreditation amounted to 895 days, while visit hours totaled 7,160.

SCFHS Spokesperson Fahad Al-Qathami said that the executive administration for accreditation at the commission has set 20,532 program standards that were prepared under the new framework for 116 training programs.

He added that the administration has provided 27 services for accrediting training centers and held 71 meetings for accreditation committees with over 200 hours of training, in addition to holding 6 workshops that benefited some 400 evaluators of institutional and program accreditation with a total of 5,724 training hours.
