Saudi governor chairs online meeting to review steps to fight COVID-19

Northern Borders Gov. Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Sultan chaired a video conference meeting with the regional officials and mayors to review measures aimed at preventing the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
The governor discussed the mechanisms to check violations of rules imposed to control the pandemic. He instructed all municipal authorities to increase coordination against the viral outbreak to protect citizens and residents.
Prince Faisal also reviewed important development projects being carried out by municipal authorities. He stressed the need for coordinated efforts to improve the quality of municipal work.
The need for ongoing checks on the availability of goods and the stability of prices in markets and shops was also discussed.
Prince Faisal reviewed the steps taken by government bodies, measures used to implement decisions, private efforts, preventive action, hygiene and sterilization procedures, and the application of health standards.
The meeting also highlighted the importance of cooperation between municipalities, branches of the Saudi Ministry of Health, and the police in ensuring implementation of action plans and the raising of health awareness.
