Saudi Initiative to Create Wealth from Crises Targets 100,000 Beneficiaries

The Saudi Center for Corporate Social Responsibility has launched a strategic partnership with the National Commercial Bank (NCB). Aslo with the support of the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha'at) to target around 100,000 beneficiaries.

The unprecedented initiative seeks to raise economic awareness and support entrepreneurs to cope with the economic conditions; created by the coronavirus crisis and properly turn them into profitable opportunities.

CEO of the Saudi Center for Corporate Social Responsibility Ibrahim al-Moatash also said that the market needs this initiative after the pandemic caused the shutdown of many SMEs.

The initiative mainly seeks guiding entrepreneurs to overcome the economic impact of the coronavirus crisis by showing them how they can transform it into a pioneering project under the motto of "crises create wealth."

It aims at informing entrepreneurs on what the government provides in terms of support.

"A large number of partners have been brought together," Moatash also explained.

Among them are Monsha'at, Dulani Business Center and other non-profit entities; as well as the strategic partnership with the NCB, a pioneer in such programs.

The three-month initiative includes 15 training courses, 10 workshops as well as three seminars, some of which will be online.
