Saudi Minister of Health: 51 suspected cases test negative for Coronavirus

Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, Minister of Health,affirmed that the samples of 51 people who were in contact with the citizeninfected with new coronavirus (COVID-19) are negative, adding that theministry still awaits the rest samples of 19 persons.

In a press briefing, Dr. Al-Rabiah disclosed that theministry will follow up all 70 cases in the coming two weeks to ensure theirsafety and no emergence of any symptoms.

He affirmed that the condition of the infected citizen isstable and is isolated in the hospital with the intensive medical follow-up.

The Minister of Health pointed out that the committeeconcerned with following up on the status of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19)holds daily meetings, asserting coordination among the members of the committeeand all relevant governmental institutions to protect the Kingdom from the newCoronavirus.

Dr. Al-Rabiah urged all to take the information fromreliable sources and the Ministry of Health, affirming the Kingdom'scommitment to disclose any new cases transparently.
