A joint fleet of vessels and aircraft of the Saudi Royal naval forces and Border guard were able to evacuate an Ukrainian captain after having undergone an emergency case in the international waters off Al-Hodeidah port last night, it was reported today.

Lieutenant Colonel Misfer bin Ghannam Al-Graini, Border guard spokesman, said his crew received a distress from the Cyprus-based Search and Rescue Center that the Ukrainian captain of HC JANA ROSA vessel, sailing under the flag of Antigua & Barbuda, has gone helpless under pressure of an accidental illness, 22 nautical miles off Al-Hodeidah port, Yemen.

According to international maritime search andsalvage agreement for 1979, a vessel and a helicopter, both affiliated to theSaudi navy, rushed to the scene and picked the patient to a near Saudi hospitalof Jazan for medical treatment.

Lieutenant. Col. Al-Graini reassured that thecaptain's health is stable.
