Saudi Ports made aprogress in the Quality of Port Services Index by 4 points from the previousyear, in the Global Competitiveness Report 2019, which is one of the indicatorsthat contributed to the rise of the Kingdom's ranking in the results of thereport issued by the World Economic Forum.
This remarkableprogress comes in the efficiency and quality of services provided by Saudiports in return for the unlimited support received by the ports sector by thewise leadership, which gave it the strength and support necessary to achieveits objectives and contribute to building a solid economy within the nationaleconomy system.
The General Authorityfor Ports has launched a number of new development projects to optimize thecapacity of Saudi ports, develop infrastructure and expand the construction ofterminals, in addition to the application of performance measurement indicatorsto improve the efficiency and quality of port services and reduce the durationof stay.
