Saudi Railways Company (SAR) is preparing to officially resume passenger train trips, starting from Sunday, May 31, 2020, calling those wishing to travel on its trains to make ticket reservations through the Company's website www.sar.com.sa or through its application for smart devices.
SAR said that it has completed its operational preparations to start its trips at this stage, with the application of preventive measures and all necessary health measures to ensure the safety of passengers and according to the concerned authorities' instructions, as it includes – the first stage – four stations: (Riyadh, Al Majma'ah, Qassim and Hail).
Regarding the introduced and preventive measures, SAR explained that the percentage of seats available for booking inside the train shall not exceed 50% of the capacity of the train seats per trip, so as to achieve social distancing and the passengers' safety.
