The Saudi Red Crescent Authority (SRCA) celebrates in allits branches in the regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia "TheInternational Volunteer Day" which falls on December 5th, during which differenthuman and awareness initiatives are launched, along with honoring outstandingvolunteers in the authority.
On this occasion, SRCA President Dr. Mohammed bin AbdullahAl-Qasem has expressed his pride to have 20,000 volunteers working with theauthority and contributing to different initiatives to invest their time,referring to different initiatives launched by the authority like " Fridayis Volunteer Day " and the volunteers efforts to serve pilgrims and Umrahperformers in Hajj and Umrah seasons.
Dr. Al-Qasem has also referred to the witnessed increase inthe voluntary sector in the authority, as voluntary participations and eventsreached 1500 in 2019 with more than 250,000 voluntary hours.
