Saudi Representative to UN discusses with counterpart in Egypt and Spain joint international efforts to combat terrorism

ThePermanent Representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations,Ambassador Abdullah bin Yahya Al-Muallami, in his capacity as Chairman of theIslamic Group on Combating Terrorism, met this evening with the permanentrepresentative of the brotherly Arab Republic of Egypt, Ambassador MuhammadIdris, and the permanent representative of the friendly Kingdom of Spain,Ambassador Agustin Santos Maraver, in their capacity as facilitators in chargeof reviewing United Nations Counter-Terrorism Strategy.

Duringthe meeting, they reviewed the joint efforts in combating terrorism, and theposition of the OIC countries, in which the kingdom presides over the groupconcerned with combating terrorism, and is negotiating the position of theIslamic group on the United Nations strategy to combat terrorism, in a way thatensures the achievement of the interests and priorities of Islamic countries.

Themeeting was attended by a number of officials.
