Significant Participation of Saudi Arabia in Davos 2020

The forthcoming World Economic Forum (WEF) annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland, will witness remarkable Saudi presence among international delegations.

Saudi officials from various economic and development backgrounds, including ministers and government chief executives, were invited to the event.

Saudi officials are to review the Kingdom's successes pertaining to the ambitious national transformation project known as "Vision 2030."

"Vision 2030" contributed to accelerating the pace of development in the Kingdom. It also helped in achieving goals of the national transformation project.

Saudi officials participating in the upcoming forum sessions will be sharing visions about the future of the world. They will also tackle on issues related to the economy, environment, society, and politics.

It is noteworthy that Saudi Arabia has assumed the G20 Presidency, leading up to the Leaders' Summit in Riyadh on 21–22 November 2020.

The Kingdom's capital, Riyadh, and other cities are hosting hundreds of meetings. In addition to workshops, and preparatory sessions ahead of the G20 leaders 'summit.

On that note, the Davos forum devoted a separate session on its own to talk about the priorities of the G20 hosted by Saudi Arabia this year.

In another session, the Saudi Minister of Energy, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, will partake in discussions related to the future of fossil fuels.

Along with a time of uncertainty in oil and gas markets amid a slowdown in the global economy growth.
