Al-Rahma mosque is a symbol on the architecture of the Islamic arts that intertwines between the modern touch and the scent of the past—it was the first of its kind in the whole world to be built over the surface of the sea since more than three decades, and it still has its attractive circular shape and its outer domes to be a landmark lying on the Red Sea coast in Jeddah , in the west of Saudi Arabia.

The mosque was built in 1985 on an area of ​​about 2,400 square meters, and can accommodate 2300 people of both sexes.

It was designed and constructed with the use of the latest technologies, machinery, and equipment. Besides, advanced sound and lighting systems were used with high technology.

Al-Rahma Mosque consists of 52 domes and 23 external umbrellas, on which Quranic verses are written in the Diwani, Ruq'ah, and Naskh scripts. It also contains a wooden musalla (literally, "hall for prayer") suspended in the middle of the mosque, which is suspended in the middle of the mosque with a capacity of 500 worshippers and it contains 56 windows around the dome that were designed in the ancient Islamic style.
