Tomorrow, the 2030 Saudi-Japan Vision Business Forum opens in Tokyo

The Saudi-Japan Vision 2030 Business Forum will be held on Monday in Tokyo, Japan, organized by the Japan External Trade Organization in the Middle East (JETRO) and in cooperation with the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA).

The forum will be attended by the Saudi Minister of Economy and Planning, Mohammad Al-Tuwaijri, the Japanese Minister of Economy, Trade, and Industry, Hiroshige Seko, and SAGIA's Governor Ibrahim bin Abdul-Rahman Al-Omar.

The forum is to witness the participation of elite government, business and economic leaders from the two countries, representing vital sectors such as industry, energy, electricity, infrastructure and logistics, health, entertainment, agriculture, food, information technology, banking, and financial services.

More than 300 Japanese companies will participate in the event, which will enable them to gain access to investment opportunities in Saudi Arabia and meet with their counterparts in Saudi Arabia to achieve successful investment partnerships.

The Saudi side is represented by the Ministry of Economy and Planning, the Ministry of Commerce and Investment, the SAGIA, Saudi Aramco, the General Sports Authority, the Qiddiya Project, the General Culture Authority, the Ministry of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources, the Neom Project, the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, the General Entertainment Authority, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, the Ministry of Transport, the Economic Cities Authority and the Council of Saudi Chambers.

SAGIA aims to introduce Saudi Arabia as an attractive investment destination especially in the energy, mining and start-up sectors, thus continuing to increase the volume of foreign investments in Saudi Arabia.

The agenda of the forum will include a number of sessions and themes with a group of specialists and speakers from Saudi Arabia and Japan, and working papers presented by specialists and experts from executives, businessmen, and officials from various entities, in order to reach effective and successful partnerships, in view of the investment opportunities Saudi Arabia enjoy in a number of its promising sectors as a country whose economy is one of the largest economies in the Middle East and creating the right environment for attracting large companies to invest in it.


This vital forum is held in light of the growing and deep economic relations between Saudi Arabia and Japan. Japan is an important partner of Saudi Arabia. The two countries are also working on a series of executive programs emanating from Vision 2030 and seeking to enhance the volume of trade and investment between them.
