Trump nominates new US energy secretary

According to Reuters, US President Donald Trump said on Friday thathe would nominate the Deputy Energy Secretary, Dan Brouillette as primeminister.

"I am delighted to nominate Deputy Secretary Dan Brouillette tobecome the new Energy Secretary," Trump wrote in a post on Twitter.

"Dan's experience in the sector is unique, I have no doubt that Danwill do his best!" Trump continued.

If confirmed by the Senate, Brouillette would replace Rick Perry,who said on Thursday that he would step down by the end of the year.
