The official spokesman of the Presidency of State Securitystated that, as a result of the follow-up of terrorist activities, thecompetent authority in the Presidency has been provided with indicators thatthere are arrangements for an imminent terrorist operation, in which terroristelements in charge of the operation use a vehicle being equipped with explosives,as exerted efforts were able to monitor the vehicle, a "Ford", drivenby two terrorists in King Saud Street in the city of Dammam on Wednesdaymorning, 4/28/1441 AH, and when requested to surrender themselves, they startedshooting at the security men and held up in a building, which required dealingwith them according to the situation to neutralize the danger, which resultedin their killing.

The two wanted men, Ahmad Abdullah Saeed Suwaid and AbdullahHussein Saeed Al Nimer, were Saudis. The security operation resulted in thearrest of a third element whose name cannot be disclosed as the investigationrequires at the present time, and the seizing, in the vehicle, of 5 kilogramsof highly explosive RDX substance prepared for the operation, in addition toseizing a machine gun, two pistols, live ammunition, and a sum of money.

The Presidency of the State Security confirms that itcontinues to pursue and track criminal elements who seek to undermine thesecurity and stability of the homeland and its citizens and residents, inresponse to the dictates of external enemies, stressing that they will not beable to achieve what they seek and plan.
