The UAE condemned an attempt by a terrorist cell linked to Iran's Revolutionary Guard; who wanted to launch sabotage operations in Saudi Arabia.
In a statement carried by the state news agency WAM on Wednesday; the UAE's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation also hailed the "vigilance, sophistication and efficiency" of the security apparatus in Saudi Arabia and its response to these attempted terrorist acts.
The UAE also reaffirmed its firm stance and solidarity with the Kingdom in confronting such terrorist operations; adding that it supports all measures it takes to protect its security and stability.
Saudi Arabia also said on Monday it busted a terrorist cell this month that received training from Iran's Revolutionary Guards.
The spokesman for the Presidency of State Security said that 10 people were arrested with huge cache of weapons and explosives.
According to the spokesman; three of those arrested got their training in Iran. While the rest "linked to the cell in various roles".
