The ministry of foreign affairs and international cooperation of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the US Agency for international development (USAID) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on international developmental cooperation.
Sultan Al-Shamsy, Assistant foreign minister for international cooperation affairs signed for the UAE while the US ambassador to the UAE John Rakolta signed for his country.
The MoU aims at creating a framework for dialogue and enhancing international developmental cooperation among participants in activities that promote development in other countries, including, for instance, those in the ME and Africa.
