Yemeni Foreign Minister believes Houthi military refuses peace initiative

Yemeni Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak said that the rejection of the Houthi Militia to peace and their continuing military escalation in Yemeni governorates indicate that they are not serious towards solving the crisis, a reflection to the impact of the Iranian subversive project in the region.

The remarks came during Mubarak's meeting with the UK Ambassador to Yemen Michael Aron in Riyadh on Thursday.

During the meeting, Aron stressed the importance of implementing the Riyadh Agreement to unify national efforts to face Houthi Militia and ensure the stability and security of the region.

According to Yemeni news agency (Saba), the Yemeni Minister of Foreign Affairs said that the Yemeni government is monitoring the humanitarian situation in the conflict-afflicted areas to ensure that the needs of the Yemeni people in those areas are met.
